The Tehran Governorate announced on Tuesday, January 30, that due to the continuation of severe cold and increased gas consumption, all offices and educational centers in Tehran Province will be closed on Wednesday, January 21. This decision was made based on weather forecasts and approved by the provincial Crisis Management Headquarters, and it includes government offices, schools, universities, banks, and municipalities.

According to this announcement, medical, emergency, police, and service centers, as well as the stock market and bank branches on duty, will not be closed and will continue their operations. The Tehran Governorate also stated that the schedule for the continuation of school exams will be communicated later by the Ministry of Education.

At the same time, the Hamadan Governorate also announced the closure of offices and universities in the province on Wednesday, stating that schools will hold classes remotely. Additionally, the West Azerbaijan Governorate announced the closure of offices and universities and the transition of schools to remote learning due to a significant drop in temperature and frost. In Sistan and Baluchestan Province, schools in the cities of Zahedan, Khash, Taftan, and Mirjaveh will also be closed on Wednesday.
