Ali Akbar Pourjamshidian, Deputy Security Minister and Secretary of the National Security Council, stated in a television program that "the time for restoring the internet is uncertain." This comes as access for over 90 million Iranians to the internet has been cut off for more than 300 hours.

Doug Mordei, an expert in global internet infrastructure analysis, wrote on his account on platform X: "Iran is experiencing one of the most severe internet outages in the world. In this blackout, unlike classic outages, the main internet routes (IPv4) were not removed from BGP; meaning the country remained technically accessible, but traffic was effectively blocked at the network edge."

Previously, Hossein Afshin, the scientific deputy of the President, had announced that "the country's internet will return to normal by the end of this week, that is, in two days." Additionally, Masoud Pezeshkian, the President, had earlier this week advised Ali Larijani, Secretary of the Supreme National Security Council, to "lift the internet restrictions as soon as possible."
