Lindsey Graham, the Republican senator from the United States, said in a video from his meeting with Prince Reza Pahlavi: "It is the people of Iran who will choose their future leader, and I eagerly await the day when they have such an opportunity. You have presented a compelling narrative for the suffering people of Iran at this juncture. I firmly believe that help is on the way."

He also addressed Donald Trump, the President of the United States, saying: "Thank you for preferring the people over the Ayatollahs; you are the first to do so. Thank you for acknowledging the reality that the only way to make Iran great again is for the protesters to triumph over the regime. I believe that day is near."

This American senator also told the American public: "This issue matters to us. This regime is the world's largest state sponsor of terrorism and its hands are stained with the blood of Americans."
