Ten days after the onset of nationwide protests in Iran, the new design gold coin known as 'Imami' reached approximately 170 million tomans, setting a new record. The price of the new design coin has increased by about 10 million tomans in the past 24 hours alone. Additionally, the price of one gram of 18-carat gold has surpassed 16 million and 100 thousand tomans. This price increase comes at a time when last week, officials from the Central Bank of the Islamic Republic announced their intention to stabilize the price of coins by supplying them in the market.
