Islamabad: Reza Amiri-Moghadam, Iran's ambassador to Pakistan, revealed on Thursday that Donald Trump, the President of the United States, has informed Tehran that he will not attack Iran and has asked Iran to show restraint.

Amiri-Moghadam made these remarks during a visit to the National Rahmat-ul-Alameen Organization, where he met with Ahmad Nadeem, the head of the organization.

The Iranian ambassador also announced that around 1 AM GMT (4:30 AM Tehran time), he received information indicating that Trump does not want war and has asked Iran not to attack U.S. interests in the region.

These statements come at a time when their accuracy is still uncertain.
