On January 13, 2025, the judiciary of Qom announced that following the arrest of Mohammad Saeedi-Nia, the owner of the Saeedi-Nia cafe chain on January 12, all his assets and accounts have been seized. Additionally, all of Saeedi-Nia's places of business have been closed, and his legal case has been referred to the 49th Article Court. This judicial body has stated that Saeedi-Nia is accused of inciting chaos and unrest among the people. In the early days of the nationwide protests in January 2025, Mohammad Saeedi-Nia had declared that the Saeedi-Nia chain would support the protests and the strike of the merchants. Previously, the Tasnim news agency, affiliated with the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, had reported his arrest and stated that the business license and permits of Mohammad Saeedi-Nia have been revoked.
