Donald Trump, the President of the United States, announced on Thursday on the sidelines of the Davos meeting that Iran wants to negotiate with Washington and that the U.S. is also ready for dialogue. He made these statements at the inauguration of an institution called the 'Peace Board.'

Trump, referring to the U.S. military attacks on Iran's uranium enrichment facilities last year, stated that this action was taken to prevent Tehran from acquiring nuclear weapons. He emphasized, 'We could not allow such a thing to happen.'

The U.S. President added, 'Iran wants to negotiate, and we will negotiate.' Officials of the Islamic Republic have not yet responded officially to these statements.
