Donald Trump, the President of the United States, told reporters on Sunday evening, January 21, Eastern Time, that the Islamic Republic contacted the U.S. yesterday and proposed negotiations for a nuclear agreement. He added, "We may meet with them."
While returning from Florida to the White House, Trump said in the presence of reporters, "Iranian leaders called yesterday to negotiate. I think they are tired of being pressured by the U.S."
He also noted, "We are preparing for a meeting, but due to what is currently happening, we may have to take action."
