Donald Trump announced that Iranian leaders contacted him yesterday and requested negotiations for a nuclear agreement. He added that due to current circumstances, actions may be taken before the meeting.

Donald Trump, the President of the United States, told reporters on Sunday evening, January 21, Eastern Time, that the Islamic Republic contacted the U.S. yesterday and proposed negotiations for a nuclear agreement. He added, "We may meet with them."

While returning from Florida to the White House, Trump said in the presence of reporters, "Iranian leaders called yesterday to negotiate. I think they are tired of being pressured by the U.S."

He also noted, "We are preparing for a meeting, but due to what is currently happening, we may have to take action."
