Trump: The Iranian Regime May Be on the Brink of Collapse

The U.S. President indicated the possibility of the Iranian regime's collapse in an interview with Fox News, warning that the U.S. would take action if protesters were suppressed. Iran Human Rights reported the deaths of 45 protesters in recent demonstrations.

In a televised interview with Sean Hannity on Fox News, the U.S. President responded to his question about Ayatollah Ali Khamenei's alternative plans for a trip to Russia, saying: "Or somewhere else, yes. Apparently, he intends to go somewhere."

He also added: "The Iranian regime may be on the brink of collapse, and if they shoot at the protesters, the U.S. will take action."

This is not the first time Donald Trump has warned Iranian officials that if they suppress protesters by killing them, the U.S. will take practical action.

Iran Human Rights has reported that by the evening of Wednesday, January 7, at least 45 protesters, including eight children, have been killed during the crackdown on the new wave of protests.

The U.S. President also emphasized: "We must globalize the few images that are being released from Iran. Critical days are ahead."
