Steve Witkoff, special envoy of Donald Trump, expressed hope that issues with Iran will be resolved diplomatically at the Israeli-American Council. In response to the question of whether we should expect military operations against Iran, he said, "I hope we can reach a result diplomatically."

He pointed to four main unresolved issues with Iran, which include "nuclear, enrichment, missile, and proxy forces." Witkoff also emphasized that he hopes these issues will be resolved through diplomacy, as "the outcome of the alternative is very bad for Iran."

He described the Iranian people as extraordinarily brave and added that the United States stands with them.
