'Bahar' is a two-year-old child who was killed during the January 2025 protests in Nishapur. The Islamic Republic's state television has brought her family in front of the camera, and in a video, the voice of a reporter can be clearly heard dictating the Islamic Republic's narrative to Bahar's father.

In other footage where state television has also shown Bahar's brother and mother, Bahar's mother does not look at the camera. The Islamic Republic has a long history of extracting forced confessions from the families of victims and prisoners. During the crackdown on the January 2025 protests, this government has pressured families to repeat its narrative in front of the camera. In some cases, the condition for the return of the bodies of those killed in the protests has been to conduct a television interview.
