On the night of January 7, security forces fired at the people from inside the Haft Tir police station in Mashhad. In this incident, Jafar Javidi was severely injured and, with the help of one of the bystanders, he was moved away from the gunfire. A bullet had struck his side, and on the sidewalk, a woman was checking the pulses of the injured, stating which ones were still alive. We transported Jafar by car to a small clinic in Haft Tir, but this place lacked the necessary facilities, and he died due to severe bleeding. On the floor of the clinic, there were about 20 bodies, and blood was flowing. To prevent Jafar's body from being stolen, we took him to our home and transferred him to Behesht-e Reza early in the morning. Along the Vali-e Asr Boulevard and at the corner of Haft Tir, I saw the bodies of my fellow citizens in a drainage ditch, and the streets were filled with blood. Since we had Jafar's body, we were able to bury him. Behesht-e Reza and Behesht-e Ravan were filled with the dead, and grieving people were searching for their loved ones.
